The firm, the client and everyone on this team are an AI simulation. They brief you, review you and push back on you the way real colleagues do.

Work that is real.

A live engagement with a deadline, a deck, and a client leadership meeting at the end.

Reviews that are honest.

An engagement manager reads everything first. A partner marks up your slide.

A record that is yours.

Every moment is scored. You leave with the proof, not just the memory.

Prakriti Khemka

Built by Prakriti Khemka.

Years in strategy consulting at Kearney, then leadership at Blinkit through its fastest growth. IIM Ahmedabad. She designed every brief, every review and every scorecard in this experience around what actually gets a first-year analyst noticed.

"I hired consultants for years. The ones who did well weren't the ones who knew frameworks. They were the ones who could really break the problem down, through rigorous practice."

She also runs the live case session with every cohort. One hour on Zoom, after your two weeks. LinkedIn ↗

Why every employer wants people who have done consulting.

They answer first.

One sentence, then the evidence.

Their numbers hold up.

Nothing goes on a slide until it ties.

They write things people act on.

Clear enough that nobody asks a question.

They can be left in a room with a client.

Calm with senior people. Never guessing.

Two weeks. You do the work.

No lectures. You learn the way analysts learn: by being handed the work and getting it reviewed.

1

The brief lands.

Your engagement manager messages you between two meetings. One slide on why the new stores lose money, for Thursday's steering committee. You say it back before you build anything.

Need you on the new-stores question for next Thursday's steerco. Partner wants a view on why they're losing money. One slide, maybe two. Data's in the room. I'm with the client till 4.

You 10:19

Got it. One slide on why the 12 new stores lose money, for Thursday, from the data in the room. Outline by end of day.

2

You build the model, and it doesn't tie.

Sixteen stores, five raw files, one working sheet. Your total comes out 4.1% above the client's own dashboard. Everybody's does, the first time. Finding out why is the work.

A partner reviews your slide.

Your first draft describes the numbers. Rajan's comment asks for the one line. You say the note back, cut the title to one breath, and the client sees the fixed version that afternoon.

Observations

  • New stores sell about half of what mature stores sell
  • Rent per store is similar across both groups
  • Staff cost per store is similar across both groups
  • Ramp-up: new stores are 6 to 14 months old
  • Cost lines to be reconciled with finance before steerco

The steering committee.

Seven people on the call. You own one number. The client CFO asks you about it, by name. You answer without guessing, or you say "I'll confirm and come back by end of day". Both are the right answer.

  • Built the store-profitability analysis for a simulated Big-4-style engagement over two weeks
  • Reconciled client P&L data to 0.2% and found that discounts, not rent, drove new-store losses
  • Presented the finding to the client CFO at the steering committee and answered questions on my own numbers
  • Wrote the minutes, data request and handover memo used by the engagement team

Your scorecard.

Seven dimensions of how you worked, each linked to a moment a recruiter can replay.

"Tell me about a time you got something wrong."

Your interview story.

Every "tell me about a time" now has a time. Practised out loud before you leave.

The one-minute lesson

How consultants actually think.

1
Start with the answer.

"New stores lose money because of discounts." Say it before you prove it.

2
Split the problem so nothing is missed.

Profit is revenue minus cost. Cost is rent, staff, food, discounts. Check each.

3
Find the one number that matters.

Discounts were 5.4 points of the gap. Rent was 1.9. The story writes itself.

Questions.

I'm from a tier-2 college. Is this for me?
Yes. There is no shortlist. You get the same engagement, the same reviews and the same scorecard as anyone else.
Do I need to know consulting?
No. A laptop and basic spreadsheet comfort. Every term is explained when you meet it, and a senior consultant is there to help.
Can I put this on my CV?
Yes, as virtual work experience, with a link to your scorecard. The sample above is what it looks like.
Is this AI?
Yes. The firm and your colleagues are an AI simulation designed by Prakriti. The work is yours. The case session with Prakriti is a real person on a real call.
Will this get me a job?
No promises. You'll have done two weeks of the work, so you'll have something true to say about it.

Don't just learn what work is. Get to work.
